So I’ve now been on MTF hormones for a month. Well, about a month and a half actually, but who’s counting? Not much has happened, but I thought I’d do a bit of an update anyway.
One week on estrogen – and STILL no boobs! ;o)
I’ve just taken the shiny foil backing off my third estrogen patch and applied the little beauty to my left hip. It’s exactly one week and 38 minutes since I started HRT – and this is my story so far.

The science bit: hormone test results
My blood test results are here. I have my fourth gender clinic appointment next Monday and, if all is well with them, the clinic will write to my GP to tell her to start prescribing estrogen. But there could be a hitch – one of the hormone results is off the scale.

So I’ve just got back from my third appointment at Nottingham Gender Clinic – and it’s the best possible news. The experts there agree I have gender dysphora and, subject to my blood tests being OK, have agreed to prescribe estrogen. *Punches air*

So a year ago, I began my journey towards what I hoped would see me taking estrogen, and testosterone blockers. And you all know what that means – lovely boobs (hooray!), a bigger bum (yay!), less body hair (bliss!) and everything else.
