Just a short post today – but I thought I’d better put something on here as my estrogen levels are now right where they should be. Hurrah!
In my previous blood test, my estradiol levels had actually fallen, despite me taking double the dose of what I’d been on before.
My endocrinologist ordered another test asap, and I can only assume the level had fallen because my patch had become unstuck before the test.
Anyway, no such issues this time (test was a couple of weeks ago) and I’ve just had a letter from him to say everything’s fine and to carry on what I’m doing before another test in three months’ time.
Also, my prolactin levels, which had been a tad high, have now fallen to a range where they should be (628), so the endo’s loving that, too.
He didn’t state what my estrogen level was, so I just called the GP surgery and was told that it’s 473 (target range is that of a cis woman, between 400 and 600) so all good there.
Transitioning is a bit like being John Shuttleworth – forever going “to check the level” – although at hospitals and surgeries, not Ladybower Reservoir. Oof.
I still can’t report any physical or mental changes but, now my estrogen levels are where they need to be and I’ve begun taking T-blockers, hopefully Puberty 2.0 will kick in soon. Hope I don’t get acne!
Just one more thing, to those readers who are about to start T-blockers. Although your testosterone levels will fall to zero before long, they will SOAR for the first week or so after your first injection.
I felt like I’d swallowed every aphrodisiac on the planet for a few days, which was a little odd. Great fun, though! ;o)

Glad things are back on track Andie. Hopeful the acne doesn’t materialise & that the teenage mood swings aren’t too wild! Xx
