It’s gone 2am and I can’t sleep. So I thought I’d post something about Christmas – because this one is going to be my first Christmas as female me, and I’m rather looking forward to it.
Makeup, clothes, perfume – and telling the nieces at last!
I’m now 45 (hooray – still not dead!) and I’ve just had the best birthday celebration of my life. It was super-girly – and a major family hurdle has at last been cleared. The elephant in the room is dead – hooray!
Why deadnaming sucks the life out of trans people

Telling my parents I’m transgender
bWell, telling people I’m trans is getting easier and easier. I told another lady at Slimming World – and showed her a couple of photos on my phone. It was as easy as saying “Ooooh, I’ve just got back from Greece – here’s a picture of me on the beach!” She was so positive and said I looked so happy. So why is it so hard to tell your parents?!
